Qualité of a wine comes first from the work in the vineyard

Vineyard and so the way we take care of them, influence the wine we will then produce.

A team of 6 people is responsable of all the work in the vineyard. Their objectives : produce the best grapes in the respect of the vine and its terroir.

They do an important work of the soil, short cuts, green work.  The Domaine tends to an organic vine-growing by 3 to 5 years.

Our vineyard are planted in Chardonnay for the white wine, and in Pinot Noir for the red wines.

  • 1-hectare ½, located in the Mountain of Beaune on slopes; height: 330 meter. Facing South / Southwest.
  • Average age of the vine: 30 years old. Only Chardonnay.
  • Soil: limestone. Pebbly soil.

  • 3 hectares ½, located in the Mountain of Beaune; height: 330 meter. Facing Southeast.
  • Average age of the vine: 30 years old. Only Pinot noir.

  • More than 1 hectare, located at the East in the plain of Volnay.
  • Average age of the vine: 25 years old. Only Pinot noir.
  • Soil: clayey-silt on clayey scree-covered earth.
Pommard les Chanlins
  • More than ½ hectare, located at the top of the slopes. Average 330 meter above the Pommard 1er Cru " Les Rugiens ". Facing South / Southeast.
  • Average age of the vine: 30 years old. Only Pinot noir.
  • Soil: chalk on the Jurassic marl.

  • 1 hectare located on East of Pommard, at the top of the slopes. Facing South.

  • More than 2 hectares, located on one of the slopes overhang Pommard.
  • Facing East / Northeast.
  • Average age of the vine: 30 years old. Only Pinot noir.
  • Soil: brown ground, on hard chalk and Jurassic marl.

  • 2 hectares located on East, Volnay side.

  • More than 1-hectare ½ located in the down of the slopes. Facing South / Southeast.
  • Average age of the vine: 30 years old. Only Pinot noir.
  • Soil: red silt on chalky scree covered earth.

  • ½ hectare located on slopes, by Vosne-Romanée side. Facing East.

  • 11 ares, facing south in a dale very fresh.
  • Average age of the vine: 4 years old. Only Chardonnay.

  • Almost ½ hectare located in the down of the slopes. Facing South / Southeast.
  • Average age of the vine: 20 years old. Only Pinot noir.
  • Soil: deep and fine with a very clayey structure.

Clos Vougeot Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru
  • Less than 1/3 hectare in the enclosure of Clos de Vougeot, about a hundred meter from this prestigious château.
  • Average age of the vine: 70 % more than 40 years old. 30% between 1 to 10 years old. Only Pinot noir.
  • Soil: silty-clay on chalky scree-covered earth.
